The Kothia family – Our story
La Prévôté is more than a historic house or a fine restaurant. It is where our worlds come together: Indian roots and French tradition, family and community, food and well-being.
Tarun –
A journey of purpose
Born in India, Tarun spent over 15 years in medical technology, working internationally to help save lives through innovation. Alongside that career, he nurtured his passions: cooking, meditation, balance, and coaching people to live with purpose.
Moving to Provence was not only a new beginning, but a deeply personal choice — to be close to his daughter Elza, now eight. Together with Esmée, he has built a new family and a new dream, welcoming their youngest daughter, Élodi Noor, who was just eleven months old at the launch of Le Rêve de Fusion.

Esmée – Hospitality at heart
Esmée grew up with hospitality in her heart. Born in the Netherlands, she was raised in her parents’ restaurant in Rotterdam, where she learned early that true service is not just about food — it is about how people feel when they are welcomed.
Her journey took her from Hilton in Milan to luxury hospitality in Bali, to Nespresso in the Netherlands, and back again to her family’s café, Lunchroom Figaro, which she co-managed for seven years. Everywhere she worked, she carried the same gift: a natural instinct for making guests feel at ease, cared for, and part of something personal

A family dream
For us, La Prévôté is a beginning — a place where Indian heritage and French tradition meet, where gastronomy and well-being come together. We see this as the first step toward a larger dream: one day creating a retreat where food, hospitality, and balance unite in harmony.
An invitation
" We invite you not only to dine or stay, but to share in our journey — and to bring your own story into the life of La Prévôté."
